Abraham Davis, MSW, LCSW, Executive Director
Mr. Davis received his Social Work Degree from Wurzweiler School
of Social Work, Yeshiva University. He has taken many postgraduate
courses and workshops and each summer attends a full week seminar
sponsored by Harvard University Medical School.
Mr.
Davis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Marriage
Counselor. He is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers
and is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage
and Family Therapists. In addition to his executive and supervisory
responsibilities, Mr. Davis is a clinician and specializes in individual
and marital therapy.
Mr.
Davis has served as chairman of the Bergen-Passaic Chapter of the
National Association of Social Workers. He was a founding member
and president of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Conference
of Jewish Communal Service, and received its Saul Schwarz Distinguished
Service Award for outstanding leadership. He is a past president
of the National Association of Jewish Family, Children's and Health
Professionals and has served on other national boards and committees.
He was previously selected as Executive of the Year by the United
Way of Passaic County.
Mr.
Davis has presented professional papers and led workshops at state
and national conferences and has lectured to groups and organizations
in North Jersey.

Janet
Bauer, MSW, LCSW, Director of Professional Services and Resettlement
Services
Mrs. Bauer received her MSW from Columbia University
Graduate School of Social Work. She is a graduate of Westchester
Center for Family Therapy and is a Certified Domestic Violence Counselor
and Certified Crisis Debriefer. Mrs. Bauer is a licensed Clinical
Social Worker and a New York State Certified Social Worker.
Prior
to her employment at JF&CS Mrs. Bauer worked as a therapist at a
psychiatric outpatient clinic and as a school social worker. She
was then the Director of the Northeast Bergen Hospice Program at
Valley Hospital and was elected to the Board of the New Jersey State
Hospice Organization.
As
the Director of Professional Services, Mrs. Bauer assigns cases
and provides supervision to agency clinicians. She coordinates all
EAP (Employment Assistance Programs) and Managed Care referrals,
and maintains clinicians credentialing as required by health insurance
companies. In addition, she leads groups for individuals who are
separated/divorced. She does both presentations and training in
the community on topics including Domestic Violence, Parents of
Adult Divorced Children, Parenting Teens, and the Changing Role
of Women in our Society. After September 11th, Mrs. Bauer was a
guest on a local radio program and did crisis debriefing at schools,
corporations and our YM-YWHA. Mrs. Bauer coordinates, administers
and supervises the agency's resettlement program.

Ann
Pogolowitz, MSW, LCSW, Director of Senior Adult Services
Ms. Pogolowitz is a graduate of Adelphi University, Garden City,
New York, with an MSW degree. She was sponsored by The Jewish Welfare
Board in New York City, and focused on Jewish communal work. She
earned a Certificate in Aging and Mental Health from Brookdale Center
on Aging of Hunter College in 1999, and is currently completing
a certificate program there in Geriatric Care Management.
Prior
to coming to JF&CS, Ms Pogolowitz specialized in work with developmentally
disabled adults and their families and as a medical social worker.
She has been a Field Instructor for graduate social work students
from Adelphi University and Wurzweiler School of Social Work.
As
Director of Senior Adult Services, Ms Pogolowitz oversees all senior
services, coordinates the volunteer program, supervises senior adult
staff, and carries a caseload of clients for individual therapy.
She coordinates all Holocaust services, and facilitates a group
for Holocaust survivors and a group for children of Holocaust survivors.

Anne
R. Lieberman, MSW, LCSW, Director of Clinical Services, Fair Lawn Branch Office
Ms. Lieberman earned her Master's degree in Social Work from New
York University and has completed a three-year postgraduate certificate
program in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of the disorders of
the Self at the Masterson Institute in New York City, where she
is on the faculty and edits the Institute newsletter. Ms Lieberman
is currently editing the book, A Therapist's Guide to the Personality
Disorders: The Masterson Approach,
and is contributing the chapter, "The Narcissistic Personality disorder."
She has also served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Social
Work at NYU. Ms. Lieberman is a Board Certified Diplomate in Social
Work, a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and a
NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
At
JF&CS, Ms Lieberman provides counseling for individuals, couples,
children and families; conducts parenting groups and supervises
professional staff. She also leads Family Life Education programs
in the community and has led training programs for agency professionals.
She has been at JF&CS since 1986.

CLINICAL
STAFF
Lynnette
Joy Goodman, MSW, LCSW, Senior Clinical Social Worker
Ms. Goodman received her Master of Social Work from Fordham
University. She attended the New Jersey Institute for Training in
Psychoanalysis and is both a NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker
and School Social Worker. She has worked in a variety of settings
in the community as a member of a Child Study Team, doing crisis
intervention, working with the disabled and their families and providing
child advocacy services.
At
JF&CS, Ms. Goodman provides counseling for adults, children and
families. She offers Family Life education programs for the community
and provides monthly in-service training to a local pre-school.
She also offers advocacy services for parents of children with disabilities,
helping them develop and access appropriate educational programs
for their children and trains and supervises JF&CS in the provision
of this service. Ms. Goodman has been at JF&CS since 1996.

Marjorie
Lagstein, MSW, LCSW, Senior Clinical Social Worker
Ms. Lagstein earned her Master's degree on Social Work from
New York University and previously, earned a Master's Degree in
communication Disorders from William Paterson University. She is
a NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
At
JF&CS, Ms. Lagstein provides counseling and psychotherapy for individuals,
couples and families. She specializes in Bereavement Groups for
men and women whose spouses have died. The focus of these groups
is to help members deal with their losses and create new lives for
themselves. She also supervises an MSW intern from Hunter College
School of Social Work. Ms. Lagstein has been at JF&CS since 1993.

Jane
Adelman, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Worker
Jane Adelman obtained her MSW from Smith College and a certificate
in psychotherapy from Cambridge Hospital Psychotherapy Center. She
then earned an additional certificate in psychodynamic therapy from
the N.Y. Center for Psychodynamic Training in 1990 and continued
her training in psychoanalysis. She has worked in mental health
center, hospitals and has done psychosocial research in Columbia
University's Cancer Center.
At
JF&CS, Ms. Adelman treats adolescents, adults and couples. She also
sees clients who have been referred by Employee Assistance Programs
and through Managed Care. She works with adult clients who have
had difficult childhoods as well as those who have personality disorders
and will be part of the Agency's newest service, Child/School Advocacy.

Chris
Fiorello, MSW, LSW, Clinical Social Worker
Ms. Fiorello earned her Master's degree in Social Work from
New York University. She is a New Jersey Licensed Social Worker.
She has received extensive training in the areas of behavioral analysis,
programming and intervention strategies. Prior to coming to JF&CS,
Ms. Fiorello worked in a variety of settings with both children
and adults. Most recently, she served as the Clinical Supervisor
at the ARC of Bergen and Passaic Counties where she provided training
and consultation for counselors and community providers working
with adults having behavioral and psychiatric disabilities.
At
JF&CS, Ms. Fiorello works with adults and couples as well as
with children and their parents. She also works with individuals
with chronic psychiatric problems.

Jill
Shanker, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Worker
Ms.
Shanker earned her MSW in Social Work from the Fordham University
School of Social Service and is a NJ Licensed Clinical Social Worker
and a NYS Certified Social Worker.
Ms.
Shanker works with individuals including children, teenagers and
adults, as well as couples. She has also done work counseling adult
children and their parents, adult siblings and similar family relationships.
She has been at JF&CS since 1996.

Patricia
Vadine
Ms. Vadine received her MSW in clinical social work from Fordham
University. She is also a graduate of the National Institute for
the Psychotherapies, a four year post masters training program in
Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. In addition, she received a certification
in Art Therapy from the New School for Social Research and is a
practicing Expressive Art Therapist.
Ms.
Vadine treats children who present a variety of emotional problems,
children who have witnessed or experienced violence as well as children
from divorced families. As an experienced and multi-talented therapist.
Ms. Vadine is able to integrate verbal, play and art therapy, in
her treatment of children. She also works with individuals who have
conflicted relationships and marriages as well as with adults who
have eating disorders.

SENIOR
ADULT SERVICES STAFF
Ellie
Gross, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Worker
Ms. Gross received her MSW degree at Fordham University, and
is certified as a Field Instructor for graduate social work students.
Ms. Gross has participated in programs at Contemporary Center for
Advanced Psychotherapy.
Prior
to coming to JF&CS, Ms. Gross supervised case managers who provided
home health services to frail and elderly, conducted group sensitivity
training sessions for them. Ms. Gross provides geriatric counseling,
and groups for adults focusing on issues of aging and relationships
with married children.

Lois
Libien, MSW, LCSW, Geriatric Care Manager and Therapist
Ms. Libien received an MSW from Columbia University School of
Social Work. She earned her certificate in psychoanalysis and analytic
psychotherapy from the National Institute for the Psychotherapies
Four Year Program, in 1997.
Ms.
Libien has experience as a social worker in the geriatric psychiatric
unit and the acute psychiatric unit of New York Hospital-Cornell
Medical Center Westchester Division. She has eight years of private
practice in New York and New Jersey. She specializes in treating
anxiety and depression in people of all ages. At JF&CS, Lois leads
a caregivers group, and speaks at community settings about issues
of aging. Ms. Libien provides individual therapy, assessment and
care management services.

Ellen
Masnaghetti, MSW, LCSW, Clinical Social Worker
Ms. Masnaghetti received her MSW degree from Wurzweiler School
of Social Work, Yeshiva University. She is a trained therapist and
has earned professional accreditations as a licensed clinical social
worker, Board Certified Diplomat, and ACSW designation. Her prior
experience includes working in hospitals and senior centers.
At
JF&CS, Ms. Masnaghetti works as a therapist providing individual,
marital and family counseling, with the primary focus on older adults.
She leads family groups and provides consultation and assessment
services. She has frrequently represented the agency at staff training
seminars in older adults issues at William Paterson University.

Miriam
Adelsberg, CSW, Coordinator, Kosher Meals on Wheels
Ms. Adelsberg earned her B.A. from the City University of New
York and also is a Certified Social Worker from New York State.
At JF&CS, she coordinates the Kosher Meals on wheels program including
the recruitment and training of volunteer drivers, and the provision
of case management services to clients and their families.
Prior
to coming to JF&CS, Ms. Adelsberg was the Manager of the Village
Apartments of the Jewish Community Housing Corporation of Metrowest
and Coordinator of the Phone Alert Program of Family and Children's
Services of North Essex.

RESETTLEMENT
PROGRAM
Paul
Klein, BS, Case Manager/Vocational Counselor
Paul Klein is a graduate of New York University where he received
a Bachelor of Science Degree in marketing. Upon graduation he was
employed by the State of New Jersey in the division of Manpower/Training.
Subsequently, Mr. Klein spent many years working for a major corporation
in the areas of marketing and purchasing.
In
1999, Mr. Klein joined our staff as the Vocational Counselor for
our Russian Resettlement Program. In this position, he created a
job bank, referred émigrés for employment training
and met with them to discuss all aspects involved in obtaining employment.
Subsequently, Mr. Klein became the Case Manager/Vocational Counselor
providing all the services and support necessary for new émigrés
in addition to vocational services.
